Dr. Mantella grew up locally in the North Hills, was educated in the Pine-Richland School District, and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University. He obtained his medical degree at New York Medical College and completed his Residency and Fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine at UPMC Shadyside Hospital.

Dr. Mantella has been caring for patients locally for the past 6 years. He has also provided medical coverage for Duquesne University Basketball & Football, Robert Morris University Hockey, Mount Lebanon High School, The Dew Tour, The Pittsburgh Marathon, Pittsburgh Power, Pittsburgh Passion, and La Roche College. Dr. Mantella has trained alongside some of Pittsburgh’s best orthopedic doctors including Dr. Freddie Fu (Head team physician for the University of Pittsburgh Department of Athletics), Dr, James Bradley (Head team physician of the Pittsburgh Steelers), and Dr. Dharmesh Vyas (Head team physician of the Pittsburgh Penguins).

Dr. Mantella sees patients of all ages and offers initial evaluation and management of all nonsurgical musculoskeletal complaints, concussion care, second opinions, and injections.
